Different cultures from around the world were embraced and celebrated last Thursday, as staff and children at Little Wonders Greenmeadows honoured United Nations Day.

Kaiako and tamariki dressed in traditional costumes and whanau made traditional dishes from their home countries to share for afternoon tea.

“As part of our Priorities for Children's Learning, we celebrated United Nation's Day as we continue to focus on encouraging children's individual language, culture and identity. It was such a lovely event of sharing and learning about each other's cultures,” says centre manager Katrina Grau.
