Kia ora, manuia le afiafi, Uttama san̄je, Magandang gabi,
He waka eke noa! We all in this together!

The first week of school holidays is over, with one more to go. We have so many tamariki on holiday traveling to visit their extended families whilst others are enjoying quality time with
their older siblings at home. I carried out some wellbeing checks by ringing families this week, it was lovely to hear all the home stories and what everyone has been up to. To our tamariki at home sick, we hope you all get well soon.

I'd like to share some photo's of our dedicated team at LAM. Julie is our Team leader who recently received a Long Service award. She has worked at LAM for 8 years - We warmly
acknowledge her on-going commitment and loyalty to LAM. She will return on Monday from a months leave. Our children will be surprised and excited to welcome her back.
Second photo is of: Hazel, our regular reliever
Nicee a permanent teacher
Nanaka came back from Waikato Uni studying to become an ECE teacher, she's left for 2nd semester so we hope to
see her in October during her break.
Anita is our new permanent teacher who is building lovely relationships with our tamariki.
Rachel (story time) has been our reliever for over 2 years who is  highly responsive to our children's emotional needs.
Whaea Dee and Linda are our permanent qualified teacher's who both grace us with their knowledge and experience.
Hayley our full time van driver.
Whaea Gwelda is our regular reliever who brings a wealth of
cultural knowledge in Mātauranga Māori, she inspires us all to learn te reo māori with our tamariki and strengthen our bi-cultural curriculum.
Whaea Lah is the best back up van driver ever who also enjoys spending time with our tamariki.
Whaea Chris is our permanent kaimahi who provides nourishing kai to our tamariki. She is also fluent in te reo māori and loves speaking te reo every day with us.

I do intend on rostering each kaiako to accompany Hayley on the van run both pick up and drop off on a regular basis starting from next week to connect with our whānau of children who participate on the van run to strengthen their relationships.

Ngā manaakitanga,
Teresa
