Matariki Soup and Pyjama Day

07 August 2019

At the end of June we held a Matariki Soup and Pyjama day to mark the end of Matariki and to support our local Jammies for June initiative.  We all dressed up in our pyjamas and helped to peel lots of vegetables to make our soup.  We invited whaanau and friends in to help us and worked very hard peeling vegetables all morning!  We were then able to enjoy our delicious soup and buns for lunch - yum!  Some of us even had seconds!  We had a lot of wonderful donations of pyjamas, dressing gowns and warm woolly hats from our families and teachers to donate to Jammies for June.  We then dropped these off at Toyworld in Napier, so that lots of beautiful tamariki can be warm this Winter.  We can't wait to enjoy our next fun event here at Active Explorers Mayfair.
