Maori Language Week

12 September 2019

Te Wiki o te reo Maori 9-13 Mahuru 2019. This week kaiako and tamariki at Pascals Albany are immersed in a  full week of te reo learning experiences, as part of New Zealand’s annual Maori Language Week.

The programme kicked off with kaiako and tamariki spending the day experiencing Maori resources and receiving their te reo language prompts. They also learned a new karakia, which kaiako sang at their team hui before enjoying a traditional Maori boil up, accompanied by the best-ever fried bread – all lovingly cooked by kaiako Mel and Amanda.
