My name is Anita Croft. I am a gardening educator, and a qualified early childhood teacher. I have a passion for gardening and sustainability and in 2018 started Growing Kiwi Gardeners.

Growing Kiwi Gardeners vision is to be the leading provider of sustainable gardening and professional development programmes for early childhood services in Aotearoa New Zealand.

It specialises in engaging children in regular hands-on gardening experiences through the Gardening with Tamariki programme. This programme supports young children to learn about the whole process involved with growing their own food, from sowing a seed and caring for the seedling through to planting and harvesting on a seasonal basis. Each session is one hour long, starting with a story or similar, and followed by hands on gardening experiences.
