Over the past month or so, the tamariki of Te Awa room have been interested in sea life. They were particularly interested in the creatures of the sea. They brought knowledge from experiences they have had outside of the centre and were supported by kaiako in gaining new knowledge through books and exploring sea creature resources. There were lots conversations about what we might find in the sea. Children were also given lots of opportunities to demonstrate and strengthen their creativity through art experiences. And Whānau also contributed to this learning by sending photos of tamariki exploring and experiencing beach and sea adventures.
