Active Explorers Henderson Annual Art Show 2019

04 October 2019

Creativity and sustainability converged last night at Active Explorers Henderson's 2019 Art Show.

Children embraced the theme of 'Recycle and Reuse' with gusto, creating colourful and inspiring works of art that showcase the impact of pollution and the importance of recycling.

Centre manager Holly Murray said the event was a huge success - both the exhibition itself and the learning that took place in the lead-up.

"Our teachers and children did such an amazing job and put so much time and dedication into the event. Our tamariki have learnt a lot over the last couple of months about how to recycle and reuse, and keep our country clean and look after our wild life," she says.

The theme also tied in perfectly with the centre's strategic focus for the 2019 - sustainability.
