Meet our Centre Manager

Kia ora
My name is Nichola Read, the new Centre Manager at Lollipops Bell Block. I joined the team on July 14th and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our tamariki, whānau, and kaiako.
Bell Block holds a special place in my heart. I grew up here and cherish memories of community projects, school days, and exploring local nature spots. Today, I live in Inglewood with my partner, two teens, and our cats, Noodle and Honey. I’m a creative soul who enjoys painting, miniatures, and making learning resources.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a Diploma in Education, with 15 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and leadership. I’m passionate about science, maths, and building strong, collaborative relationships grounded in whanaungatanga. I bring experience in compliance, Te Whāriki, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
I’m honoured to be here and look forward to helping our centre thrive.
